How being poor was normalized
I keep seeing online, especially on Tiktok, when a woman complains that she has a full-time job and a part-time job and still doesn’t make enough money to pay rent, her car, and food without stressing every month, I see people commenting that she shouldn’t have a car, shouldn’t have a basic, simple manicure, or a cheap foundation on her face. They say it’s her fault for not affording ends meet while working 2 jobs just because she spends $10 every few months for foundation, or $50 a month for her manicure.
Why work 2 jobs and still have to be extremely frugal in order to pay rent and food every month? The point of working is to afford to live and rewarding yourself for the hard work you.
Why buying a lipstick or drinking a beer with your friends on Friday night it is too expensive even though you work 8 hours or more every day? Why the billionaires of the corporations that pay people this little can buy diamonds and throw million-dollar parties when bored but the worker treating himself with an ice cream is impossible?
Anyone who speaks about this is quickly attacked by the people who are in the same situation as them. Here is how they normalized poverty and made people impose it on themselves as a way of living.
